Green Chile and Black Bean Salsa

Perfectly delicious Green Chile and Black Bean Salsa, this is one of those super easy recipes that come in handy when you want to impress your guests but don’t have a lot of time for food preparation. Seriously, this is super delicious and goes well with blue corn chips for a beautiful presentation. Normally I make all my salsa from scratch and even goes as far as roasting my own tomatoes, chile peppers, garlic and onions. I must admit, when I have a large party sometimes I cheat when it comes to food preparation! You probably wonder what in the world I am talking about. When I am serving a large group I don’t make every single thing from scratch. This is a fabulous recipe for anyone that only has 10 minutes to throw something together. Looking into my overcrowded panty, I found a jar of Trader Joe’s Hatch Green Chile Salsa, a jar of their Corn Salsa and a can of black beans. I thought to myself, if I put these all together and doctor it up that would make a nice giant bowl of salsa. So I did I rinsed the beans and dried them with paper towels, because I don’t like anything watered down, especially salsa if really can lose its depth of flavor quickly. I mixed them all together in a large mixing bowl, added fresh lime juice, some dried cilantro and a little garlic powder and sea salt. It was perfect and the presentation as I said early was beautiful. So there you have it and Green Chile and Black Bean Salsa, a dish that will impress your guests and you don’t have to tell them that you cheated, it will be our little secret.
