Serves 12
There is nothing as great as a bowl of homemade Macaroni and Cheese. This is certainly the ultimate comfort food. It is so yummy and so satisfying that it is hard to just eat one serving. This is a new twist on an old recipe and it is even more fabulous. I am excited to share it with you and your family. I hope you enjoy it as much as much as my family did! Bon Appetite, Cecelia

Cook Time
25 min
Ingredients
- 16 Ounces macaroni
- ½ stick of butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- ½ teaspoon Lawry’s seasoning salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cups ½ and ½
- 4 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In large sauce pan melt butter on medium heat, add flour, Lawry’s seasoning salt and cayenne pepper mix well and let cook about 2 - 3 minutes, and then slowly add cold milk. Keep mixing and bring to a boiling temperature and then reduce heat and allow to cook about 10 minutes, and then add cheese. Mix until all cheese is fully melted. Turn off heat and set aside. In separate pan cook macaroni according to package directions until macaroni is aldente (usually 1 or 2 minutes less than package recommends). Drain macaroni and mix with cheese sauce in baking dish. Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Then turn up to 450 degrees for about 2 minutes or until the top is lightly browned. Serve immediately. Makes 8 - 10 servings.
Notes
- If you like your Macaroni and cheese extra saucy you can leave out the flour.
