Trail Mix Blend – I enjoy creating healthy snacks for my kids. Don’t get me wrong we eat chips and dip and a few other unhealthy foods at Casa Linda. But I really have made it my goal to teach my children how to eat healthy and smart now so they won’t be like me – taking my good health and thin body for granted. Well in an ideal world . . . you know us MOMs are always looking out for those we love!
In a large mixing bowl add all the nuts and dried fruit. Mix until blended. Store trail mix in an air tight container. Best if eaten within 3 – 4 days. For my family of four this recipe lasts a 2 – 3 days. You can scale the recipe down if needed.
P.S. Raw nuts are best – but you can use whatever you have on hand! Keep in mind you can substitute and variety of nuts or dried fruits; you can even add 1 cup dark chocolate chips – for a little twist. Please note buy a good quality dark chocolate chip – to keep it healthy!

What a great recipe for after school snacks! My kids come home and always want whatever contains the most carbs–having this on the kitchen counter waiting for them would be great. Thanks for the recipe!
