I am excited to announce that I finally got a new car, a new Honda minivan. Just like my old one but way better. I love all the new additions, my old van was a 2003, so as you can imagine, I am loving the new one. I used it to drive to Arizona this past week, minivans are the ultimate road trip vehicle. It is our family tradition, every year for spring break we drive to Tanque Verde Ranch, in Tucson, Arizona. Tanque Verde is a dude ranch were my entire family gets stay on the ranch and play cowboy for a week. It is a wonderful place and has become a long standing family tradition. This was my family's twenty-first year of visiting the ranch. I highly recommend it for a great family vacation, they have a wonderful children's program and if you like horses, this is the place for you. Many people from Europe go there and return year after year. I would recommend going in the spring or fall, summer is too hot, especially when you are wearing all the riding gear, jeans, hat, boots, etc. While we were there, I need a quick snack for my family to eat on the drive back home, a long seven hour drive. I wanted a snack that would not be sticky or messy, the ranch had some dried fruit and nuts put out for snacks. I happened to have some nuts and dried fruit too. I added it all together and made this amazing and very Tasty Trail Mix. It was so good in fact that my husband Ted said that I should share it with you all. I have also added some amazing pictures of our vacation and wonderful visit to the Saguaro National Forrest, within walking distance to the ranch. What an amazing place to hike and ride horses. My favorite wrangler Joe Valdez, took us on some beautiful mountain adventure rides. My daughter Katherine cried all the way home. It is always hard to leave Tanque Verde Ranch, we really do love it there. You should check it out, tell them Cecelia sent you. I hope you enjoy the photos and my recipe for Tasty Trail Mix. As always I love hearing from you, it makes my day.
Bon Appetit,
Cecelia
