Spinach Cheese Spread

Here is a fun and clever appetizer idea. I can’t take the credit for this one it was made by my niece Monica. She served it as an appetizer for our Christmas dinner. I loved the idea and took pictures to share it with you. It was quite impressive and extremely tasty! It is a great winter appetizer idea. I am going to experiment with the flavors and will post it again soon. Stay tuned for my own personal twist on this recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (8 oz.) Cream cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) Italian 5 cheese blend
- 1 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
- 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds
Instructions
- In a food process add spinach, olive oil, garlic powder, cream cheese, Italian cheese blend, parmesan cheese, and blend in all ingredients are fully combined. Remove cheese mixture from the food process and place onto wax paper. Mold it into a 4 inch oval pine cone shape. Insert almonds and refrigerate for two hours before serving. Allow to set a room temperature 15 minutes prior to serving.
