
Easy Homemade Tomato Soup Recipe

- 1 (28 ounce can) plum tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon grated sweet onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon fresh chopped chives, for garnish
- Basil for garnish
- Add tomatoes, chicken stock, basil, grated onion, minced garlic, olive oil, salt and cream into blender.
- Mix on high for about one minute.
- Transfer to stock pot and warm over medium high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Taste and add more salt if necessary.
- Season with black pepper.
- Serve in individual soup bowls and garnish with fresh basil and chives.
- Enjoy.
