Earl Grey Muffins from Bigelow Tea Co.

One of my favorite parts of the International Food Bloggers Conference was the lecture by Cindy Bigelow of Biglow Tea Co. I had a chance to talk with her briefly and she asked me what was my favorite flavor of Tea, I said that I like mixing them and she said she liked doing that as well. I like Mixing the Mint with the Lemon and Ginger. I do that a lot. I also enjoy a cup of chamomile before bedtime as well.

In the summer months I do brew lots of ice tea and use my fresh mint from my garden to add extra flavor. Constant Comment is also fun to add to other flavors, it has a strong hint of cinnamon. I love cinnamon! For me the creative part of mixing the different flavors is fun and my children really enjoy it as well. I don’t use sugar in my tea, I really try to watch the sugar intake. My daughter Katherine usually adds a little raw honey to her glass.

Cindy also shared some interesting things this morning, some of which I really felt like I should share with you. She said the Tea is not GMO and most tea is not GMO and does not contain any noticeable amounts of pesticides. For those of you really wanting to watch for that – I felt like I should share her knowledge with you. Their website has some amazing recipes as well. You should definitely check it out.

This morning Bigelow Tea sponsored the breakfast and served some scrumptious muffins flavored with tea. The muffins got my creative juices flowing and you will be seeing some breakfast muffins coming soon with some great Bigelow Tea flavors. For now I have included a link to one of their recipes – Earl Grey Muffins.
