Serves 2
I am back to juicing and making smoothies. I created this beautiful smoothie and since I was out of almond milk I substituted coconut water, what a great refreshing change. It was spot on delicious. I started juicing a few years back to lose weight and help boost my family’s immune system during flu season. It is a great idea and works very well. Fresh juice and smoothies are so good for you and are a terrific way to get some extra vitamins. Berries are a great source of antioxidants. Eating a diet rich in antioxidants helps to improve your health and boost your immune system. All fresh fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants, but nutrient-rich berries are high in vitamin C which helps promote healthy skin and hair. Vitamin C also helps to reduce the risk of arthritis, macular degeneration and cataracts. Berries are high in fiber and help you to lose weight. The extra fiber in your diet also helps aid with lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. When it comes to fresh fruits especially berries I recommend organic whenever possible. It is important to buy organic berries, because berries are on the top of bad list when it comes to insecticides. If you can’t find organic, please make an extra effort to wash the berries several times with clean water. I know most grocery stores carry frozen organic berries and frozen berries are better for smoothies. I hope you enjoy this healthy Triple Berry Power Smoothie. I love hearing from you. It always makes my day. Sending you good wishes.
