Easy Homemade Limeade

When summer starts to heat up, I get a little bored with just plain old water. I find myself wanting some fresh like limeade or lemonade. I just think it help quench your thirst. I was working in my garden over the weekend and was so thirsty, I stopped and made myself a picture of limeade and boy did it hit the spot. My mind is growing rapid and added some into the limeade. It was so tasty that I thought I should share the recipe with you. The fresh mint really enhance the citrus flavor. It would be perfect for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend! Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups ice 3 cups cold water
- Limes for garnish
Instructions
- Mix one cup sugar with one cup boiling water, mix until dissolved. Add fresh lime juice and mix until blended. Add 3 cups of ice plus 3 cups cold water into a large serving picture, add the lime sugar mixture and mix until well blended. Serve over ice and garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a slice of fresh lime.
Notes
- TIP: For fresh homemade Lemonade simply substitute the lime juice with fresh squeezed lemon juice and you can have homemade lemonade!
