- Delicious Easy Dinner the Whole Family will Enjoy
A healthy salad that the entire family will love. Especially the kids. The orange chicken is one of my children’s favorite Asian dishes. I was trying to watch my carbs and was inspired to make a healthy salad that everyone in my family would enjoy. Katherine loves Mandarin oranges and Nicholas loves orange chicken and everyone knows I love salad! Here is my take on a healthy salad with tons of flavor.
Oriental Chicken Salad: In large flat bowl layer your ingredients: lettuce, peas, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, celery, mandarin oranges, and almonds. Add chicken to top, and drizzle salad with dressing serve immediately.
Soy Dressing: In food processor add all ingredients and pulse until all ingredients are incorporated. Heat popcorn chicken according to package directions. Cook a little longer if you like the chicken crispy. Let cool 3 minutes. Mix with ¼ cup Mandarin orange sauce
Salad Assembly: In large flat bowl layer your ingredients: lettuce, peas, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, celery, mandarin oranges, and almonds. Add chicken to top, and drizzle salad with dressing serve immediately.
